Afia Siddiqui,the so called “lady Al-Qaida”

Today I want to talk to about who in my opinion should have been admired by everyone but what actually happened is this person has lost her identity even in her own country. Well more than seven years ago a lady named Afia Siddiqui,who has a Pakistani background,got on charges of assault and attempted murder of a United States Army Captain in the police station in Ghazni, Afghanistan,she was tried and convicted 3 February 2010 and sentenced later that year to 86 years in prison in US. Since than she has been captured in an american prison and the US  government did never allowed her any contact with her homeland. The political leaders of that time,alongside with the with the leaders of the oppositions parties promised to the entire Pakistan a soon release of Dr Afia. But instead of this, the lady got famous to the world with the titles of “LADY AL-QAIDA”; as a consequence to this  the image of Dr Afia that had been created(and still it is so for those few people who know a bit about her) became that of  a terrorist. I still remember that a few years back I read  an interview of,but can’t remember when she exactly gave that, where she talked about the treatment that she was given by the american cops…she wasn’t only tortured but also  claimed  to be sexually abused. Since she has been sentenced her family in Pakistan,including her child, haven’t had any contact with her.Even the Pakistani government hasn’t informed anyone about her condition and about what she is still going through. After sometime an american citizen,who for some unknown reason to me went to Pakistan,in a hit and run case killed three people. On the request of US president and after a payment of diyya,was released and went back to America. Meanwhile Dr Aafia, who was only accused of having taken  rifle of an american soldier, got sentenced to 86 years of prison. Today I don’t see anyone who could remember of her,no newspaper talks about her,her family has probably lost any hope of her release. I wish that someone who is active for human rights or any other organization could read this blog and could try of doing something fo the so called”lady Al-Qaeda”….could take in the consideration that apart being a Pakistani,Dr Aafia is still a human being,a woman. Sh, like Raymond Davis,has the right of being sent back to her homeland.

A blog dedicated to Raif Badawi

Just a few days I came to know about Raif Badawi’s case. I was just shocked when I read,while scrolling a facebook page,that the Saudi blogger was arrested for having written some offensive stuff regarding Islam. Moreover,apart from spending ten years of his life in prison,he will also be getting thousands of  lashes,probably in front of a crowd with all kind of public,from childs to old people. All this has taken place in the most admired islamic country of all times,Saudia Arabia,which has maintained it’s position and somehow has always differed from the rest of islamic countries. This is simply because of the fact that it’s governement didn’t show itself influenced by the western culture that is,on the contrary,penetrating very fastly in other countries. Saudi Arabia is also known fo it’s law system,deeply connected to the religion. So being an islamic country it should be the first to stand against “all forms of violence” and has the major responsibility of portraying the peaceful image of Islam. But unfortunately nowadays the Saudi government is showing to the entire world such an insane behavior in the name of Islam! Such a cruelty has been adopted towards Raif,just because of his writing. Where did they read that such a horrible behaviour towards a human (who is considered to be in Islam the best of all creatures) is allowed? On the contrary Islam literally “orders” us to show mercy and to be nice even to the animals! I can’t even imagine what his family,his wife  and his childs especially are going through….I just hope that the humanity wake up in those people who are feeling so powerful a they are being so terrible to  another human.

After one week from the attack in Paris,here we are,very likely to be the same we had been a week ago. Once again satirical content targeting islam another time has been published. Not only this but millions of copy have already been sold and a lot more will be soon printed and then will be available in the market. I don’t think that for such educated people working for the magazine it is so difficult to understand the fact that THIS IS NOT FREEDOM OF SPEECH BUT AN INSULT TO A RELIGION, something that in my opinion is wrong for any sort of religion, weather it is Islam or any other. It makes me feel so bad on the other hand that the extremists, who have the guts of claiming all that stuff that they have been telling for years, in the of religion go and kill human beings. Such an act is just not allowed in Islam for any reason…it will remain a mystery how these extremists got all those violent kind of interpretation of Islam. It makes me feel sad the fact that the image of Islam portrayed by those extremists is more visible to world rather than the actual religion. Because of those extremists now Islam has been targeted again. Will they ever realize there horrible act and repent on that? I just wish that this happens.
I would also like to add that publishing that satirical stuff actually will never prove or demonstrate the so called freedom but will only hurt milions of people,individuals who won’t be able to give them the respect that a writer deserves and which is right of those who believe and know what is the freedom of speech and expression.

From last 6 days on almost all the leading news chanels,watched worldwide,the terrorist attack in Paris has been the most talked about topic. People from all over the world are showing their compassion for the victims,sometimes through the marches or posts on fb etc. everyone’s is supporting the so called”freedom of expression”;everyone wants to be respected while telling or expressing his/her point of view.Freedom,freedom,freedom and freedom but has anyone noticed that this so called freedom actually this time has crossed it’s own limit? let’s just leave the respect of a person,Hebdo had attacked the respect of a religion. Didn’t anyone between those who are protesting noticed this aspect or willingly ignored it? of course killing those 12 people wasn’t the solution to all but targeting a religion wasn’t a smart step from the french media.
